Field Crew Positions: Is this the right job for you?
Our field personnel are based at different locations in the Libyan desert where we operate. Living and working at a field site means the conditions can be extreme and the job is high pressure.
Deputy / Party Chef
Party Chefs focus on service delivery for our customers. They are involved in every phase of our business—from acquiring the maps/parameters needed for laying out plans operations to delivering the data to our client. Responsibilities include:
- Supporting engineers and specialists at the lines and the base camp.
- Ensuring the smooth running of the daily operations.
- Preparing daily/monthly reports.
- Participating in post-job debriefings.
Applicants require a Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related science.
Observer / Senior Observer
Observers are our trouble-shooters. With a strong focus on technical procedures, safety, and client interaction, they work well under pressure and without supervision. Responsibilities include:
- Planning, preparing, and executing jobs to design and client specifications.
- Recording all data and performing all equipment tests required by the contract.
Applicants require a Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related science.
Surveyor / Senior Surveyor
Surveyors are our planners and provide accurate source and receiver locations. Responsibilities include:
- Performing advance prospect reconnaissance.
- Supervise the survey GPS and chaining teams.
Applicants require a Bachelor’s degree or a Diploma in geomatics engineering or survey engineering or related science.
Geophysicist / Senior Geophysicist
Geophysicists are our quality controllers that the product being delivered to the client is high and complies fully with client specifications. Responsibilities include:
- Verifying the quality of the recording and survey data.
- Processing the recorded data, and completing the necessary reporting requirements.
Applicants require a Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related science.
Drillers
Drillers run the operation of drilling according to contract’s specifications. Responsibilities include:
- Direct rig crew in setting up rigs and drilling.
- Well logging and rig servicing.
Applicants must possess a valid driver’s license and a minimum of 5 years related experience.
HSE Advisors
These professionals advise management on health, safety, and environmental concerns, ensuring our Health, Safety and Environmental are adhered to at all times. Responsibilities include:
- Promoting safety awareness and compliance with all policies.
- Collating all safety statistics for the crew and generate reports.
Applicants require a Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety or related field.
Vibrator Technicians / Mechanics / Electricians
These specialists support our teams in the field ensuring our tools and machineries on the field crew can perform in our extreme environment. Responsibilities include:
- Maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of mechanical, electrical, electronic, and computer-based equipment.
Applicants must have a minimum of a diploma, certification, or associate’s degree in diesel or hydraulics technology or equivalent experience.
